The Building Department is responsible for the enforcement of the State of Michigan Building, Electrical, Mechanical and Energy Codes.  The office issues all permits for building construction to insure that work is completed in compliance with all applicable codes.  This office reviews all plans before permits are issued.  

Zoning administration is responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance.
