Attention New Property Owners:  The following Noxious Weed information does apply to you along with all other property owners.

In an effort to establish a welcoming community for our businesses, residents and visitors, the Charter Township of Washington requires all property owners to maintain their property.
A Noxious Weed Public Notice is published in March of every year to give property owners notification of the enforcement of our Noxious Weed Ordinance.  The Charter Township of Washington has scheduled maintenance and inspection dates for vacant properties under three (3) acres, and for foreclosed homes.

The Commissioner of Noxious Weeds is in charge of the enforcement of the Noxious Weed Ordinance.  The Field Operations Manager oversees the inspections and the maintenance operations of vacant properties and foreclosed homes in the Township.

Please see the attached Noxious Weed Calendar Vacant Properties 2016 for Vacant Properties and Foreclosed Homes.
A separate Noxious Weed Calendar Van Dyke 2017  is available for the appropriate Van Dyke properties which considers the dates of the Arts and Orchards Festival and the Peach Festival.

The Charter Township of Washington is set up by 5 zones

for inspections and maintenance scheduling.
