Washington Township contracts with the Detroit Sewer and Water Department for municipal water and sewer.  They currently supply sewer and water to approximately 10,000 residents and maintain two booster stations.  Washington Township has about 90 miles of water and sewer mains.  The Department is staffed with Michigan Department of Environmental Quality certified operators.  The Department oversees community sidewalks, drainage, and other public works projects.  All questions concerning municipal sewer and water should be directed to the Sewer and Water Department, which is located at 11233 30 Mile Road.
