ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Pre-Planning Meeting Dates for 2008-2009 year are as follows:

Pre-Planning Meetings are held to discuss general questions about proposed projects  (with the exception of rezonings).  There is no fee to attend however, you need to be placed on an agenda.

Please contact the Supervisor's Office at (586) 786-0010 Ext 222 to be placed on the pre-planning agenda.  (All above dates are tentative, so please verify prior to attending the meeting)

The Washington Township Planning Commission meetings are held at the Washington Township Municipal Building, 57900 Van Dyke Avenue, Washington, Michigan, beginning at 7:30 p.m.  The regularly scheduled monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, unless changed due to the approved holiday schedule.  Additional meetings may be added for special hearings.  

If special meetings are called, they will generally be held on an alternate Thursday of the regular meetings and are posted on the Township Hall bulletin board and published in the Romeo Observer when time allows.  

The Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals' meetings are held at the Washington Township Municipal Building, 57900 Van Dyke Avenue, Washington, Michigan, beginning at 7:30 p.m.  The regularly scheduled monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of each month unless changed due to the approved holiday schedule. (Note:  The September 2009 meeting will be held on September 14, 2009) Additional meetings may be added for special hearings.  

If special meetings are called, they will generally be held on an alternate weekday of the regular meetings and are posted on the Township Hall bulletin board and published in the Romeo Observer when time allows.

Parks and Recreation Commission, Washington-Bruce Townships - Third (3rd) Tuesday each month.  For meeting location and time, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (586) 752-6543.

Tri-Community Cable Communications Commission (Bruce-Romeo-Washington) - Third (3rd) Thursday of each month at the Cable Studio, No. 6 Walter Sheetz Drive, Romeo, Michigan, Telephone:  (586) 752-5202

District Library Board,  First (1st) Thursday of each month beginning at 7:30 p.m.  For meeting location, call the Library at (586) 752-0603.

Copies of the agendas of all meetings of the Washington Township Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals are available for public inspection at the Planning & Zoning Office.
