Michael R. Pohlod
My name is Michael R. Pohlod and I am proud to be a Washington Township Trustee. My diverse professional background and extensive experiences as Finance Director, Treasurer and City Clerk for over 26 years has provided me with a wide spectrum of skills that will assist me in better serving the residents in Washington Township. My experience working in County Government for over 26 years demonstrates my dedication to public service.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting, Management and Economics. I completed and received Certification as a Municipal Finance Administrator and Municipal City Clerk. While in Washington Township, I also received Certification for the Citizen Planner Program and Board of Review. I have served on the Washington Township Zoning Board of Appeals for 14 years and Chairman for several of those years. I have also served as Chairman on the Board of Review and Treasurer for Romeo District Library Board.
I am married with three children and proud grandfather to 6 grandchildren. I also belong to SS John and Paul Parish where I serve on the Pastoral Council. Having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, I consider it an honor to serve my Country. I truly believe Washington Township is an excellent place to live, work and raise a family. I hope to contribute as a member of the Board in making Washington Township a very special place to live while serving as a Trustee.
