PUBLIC WATER USER SURVEY

Washington Township regularly tests public water and provides these test results to you annually in our Consumer Confidence Report (www.WashingtonTownship.org/CCR).  Washington Township last tested for Lead and Copper in public drinking water during 2017 and 100% of the homes tested measured lead below the EPA’s action level.

Beginning in 2019, Washington Township is required
to increase the number of Lead and Copper sampling sites
AND WE STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS!

If you would like to volunteer to participate as an annual Lead and Copper sampling site,
please complete the Public Water User Survey below

Each summer, participants carefully follow the provided instructions to collect a sample of water from an indoor kitchen or bathroom sink that is used on a daily basis after the water in the lines has been undisturbed for at least 6 hours, usually first thing in the morning. We are required to continue using the same sites each year unless plumbing changes have been made so that the site no longer meets the required criteria.

Washington Township will provide training and all required materials to participating customers free of charge and notify you of your results within 30 days from receipt.

Additional information about Lead and Copper in drinking water can be found on our website.
