Quarterly bills switch to Monthly



MONTHLY WATER / SEWER BILLING BEGINS JULY 2023


Beginning in July 2023, customers who are currently billed quarterly for public water and/or sewer will be switched to monthly billing. There is no change to the water and sewer rates. There is no change to the way you receive your bill.

This frequently requested change has many benefits for our customers.

BENEFITS OF MONTHLY BILLING

  • SMALLER BILLS are more manageable especially for customers on fixed incomes.
  • FIND ISSUES FASTER More frequent bills provide a simple way to notice unexpected changes in water use. This enables customers to make adjustments or look for leaks.
  • AVOID LATE FEES Monthly due dates are easier to remember which helps customers to avoid late fees and missed payments.

HOW WILL THE TRANSITION TO MONTHLY BILLING HAPPEN?

The last quarterly bill will be sent out in July 2023. That bill is for the billing period April 1 – June 30 and is due August 10, 2023.

The next bill will be sent out in August 2023. That bill will be for the billing period July 1 - July 31 and is due September 10, 2023.

HOW WILL THIS AFFECT AUTOPAY?                                                               

If you are already enrolled in AutoPay, you do not need to make any changes. When the bill changes to monthly, your AutoPay will pay each monthly bill four (4) days before the Due Date of the bill.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR AUTOPAY?                                            

Avoid postal delays, enroll in AutoPay at  www.WashingtonTownship.org/PAY  There is no service fee for AutoPay and online water/sewer bill payments made using a bank account.  More information on AutoPay click here.
