What happens if I do not pay my summer or winter taxes by the last day in February?

The Township cannot accept any payments after the last day in February.

 As of March 1st all unpaid taxes (summer and winter) are considered delinquent and payable only to the Macomb County Treasurer with additional interest/penalties applied. 

  •  
 For payments received before March 31, add 5% interest to the original amount billed
  •  
 For payments received before April 30, add 6% interest to the original amount billed
  •  
 For payments received before May 31, add 7% interest to the original amount billed
  •  
 Interest increases by 1% for each subsequent calendar month

Checks must be made payable to the Macomb County Treasurer after March 1st.
