Public Hearing for Annual Budget Scheduled for March 30


PUBLIC NOTICE
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON
ANNUAL BUDGET HEARING and SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
Monday, March 30, 2020
8:00 am

 The Charter Township of Washington Board of Trustees will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 8:00 am for the proposed April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 General Fund Budgets.  The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.  The meeting will be held electronically due to the Federal, State, County and Local Emergency Declarations regarding the Coronavirus and the closure of Township Hall to the public.  This meeting will be held in strict compliance with Section 3 of the Open Meetings Act, 1976, PA 267 until April 15, 2020 and authorizing public bodies to meet electronically and to provide for the electronic participation of the public body and general public in the meeting.

The Board will also conduct this other business:
Approval of Minutes, 3/4/2020, 3/23/2020 and 3/24/2020
Approval of Accounts Payable
Accept the Treasurer's January Report
Approve the 2020/2021 Parks and Rec and STAR Budgets
Amend the FY 2019/2020 Budgets

 The public may participate in the meeting by viewing it live on Comcast (channels 6 and 902), AT&T (channel 99), or on the WBRW TV website at www.wbrwtv.com (watch on the front page, the “Live TV & Schedule” page, or the “Video – On Demand” page).  The meeting will also be streamed live on the WBRW TV Facebook page.

Comments from the public on the items on the business of this meeting will be taken by electronic submission to meixners@washingtontwpmi.org.  Electronic Submission should be entitled, “BOARD MEETING COMMENTS”.  Comments must be received by the Public Comments Section of the agenda.  The comments will be read aloud and must not exceed three minutes.
