The Department of Public Works services over 5,500 water/sewer accounts.

We have upgraded the meter-reading technology to radio remote reading capabilities
  • This provides customers with historical water usage data when requested
  •  Has generated alerts to notify residents of unusual use. These alerts will not catch every issue, they have helped many residents by notifying them of leaks and saving them money.
  •  When Vacation status is requested, we can monitor your water use while you are away. We may be able to alert you of potential issues at your residence or building. Although these alerts will not catch every issue, they have proved effective in notifying many residents of leaks and saving them money.

“In addition to bill payment assistance, the WRAP provides educational programs and funding to fix leaks and other minor home plumbing repairs,” said Sue McCormick, CEO, GLWA. “It truly is one of the most complete solutions that not only supports consumers in need, but also aims to put them on a pathway towards self-sufficiency. When we strengthen one part of the system, we strengthen the system as a whole. We are proud to be able to offer our customer communities this solution.”

The Township allows customers to obtain an
Irrigation/ 2nd water meter for the purposes of saving sewer charges on irrigation water.
