Gary Kopp, Trustee

Six years ago, we made a decision to move here from Shelby Twp., where we had lived for 36 years.  We bought a lot in Glacier Club where I built the home we are now living in.  After retiring from Ford/Visteon, and several consulting jobs, I decided that it was time to give back to the community.  My community exposure includes: Romeo District Library - Trustee, Knights of Columbus - District Deputy, St. John Vianney Parish Finance Council - Trustee, Michigan Community Media – WBRW Cable Station Channel 6 - Former Treasurer, Washington Township 6^th Precinct Delegate, Republican Committee of North Macomb County – Secretary, and Glacier Club 4 Home Owners Association - President.   

 Things I hope to accomplish over the next two years:

 Be the voice of the residents,

 Oversee the Township operations

 Work to raise property values and lower taxes,

 Support the police and fire,

 I would also like to study the community’s interest in a Veterans Memorial here in the Township.
